Here's a shot from Monkey Mountain showing the Shirakibaru Housing area (upper center). It was hazy that day and I played around digitally with the color and contrast and voila! Have to go up there on a super clear day and get a good telephoto shot.
The brown strip in the upper left amongst the hills and trees is the present site of the underground control center run by the JASDF. To the right of that are a bunch of white buildings which stand right where the old housing area was. These buildings are now a part of Kyushu University, Engineering Dept. I think. The strip of green just below the dirt field to the left of a long white building is where the parade field used to be.
